Extended Health Care Benefits

Many extended health care providers (such as Blue Cross, ManuLife, etc.) include Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) as part of the reimbursable services. Check your plan’s details to see if you are eligible. If you are covered for counselling or therapy from an RCC then the sessions will be paid for by you, I will give you a receipt and you will have to submit the receipt with the appropriate forms for reimbursement to your extended health care provider.

What if my health care provider doesn’t include RCC’s?

If your health care provider does not cover counsellors or does not acknowledge the professional counselling services of an RCC, you may wish to speak directly with your Human Resources department and ask that they amend the company benefits plan to include RCCs. Making this change is easy to do, is no extra charge to you or your organization, and will dramatically increase the benefits that you can access.
